Local Rebates from LG&E & KU
The Kentucky Public Service Commission has designed new programs for residential and commercial customers who enjoy saving energy and money. Namely, residential customers may qualify for rebates ranging from $50 to $300 when they purchase various ENERGY STAR® qualified HVAC equipment. Ask your Climate Control Technician for details on which units are eligible for these rebates.
In addition, customized HVAC rebates are available to businesses specifically. Business owners: call us at for information on how to apply.

Stimulus Tax Credit
The federal tax credit on qualifying, high-efficiency HVAC equipment was modified and extended through December 31, 2011. We are awaiting news of a possible extension of the Stimulus Tax Credit through 2012.
Those who purchase equipment from 2006-2011 may be eligible for the following tax credits:
$50 Max; Any advanced main air circulating fan*
$150 Max; Natural gas, propane, or oil furnace or boiler 95% AFUE
$300 Max; Split system air conditioner 16 SEER/13 EER
$300 Max; Split system heat pump 15 SEER/12.5 EER/8.5 HSPF
$300 Max; Package air conditioner 14 SEER/12 EER
$300 Max; Package heat pump 14 SEER/12 EER/8 HSPF
*Electricity use of no more than 2% of the total energy use of the furnace.

Rebates from Columbia Gas of Kentucky
You can save money and energy by purchasing new, high-efficiency natural gas equipment. Columbia Gas of Kentucky currently offers rebates on a variety of heating and water heating products. View and download the applications below for further instructions. Ask your Climate Control technician for details on eligible products. Rebate program ends 12/31/2012. All applications must be postmarked by 1/30/2013.
